Bar Exam In My State

Louisiana

All information provided is subject to change by the Louisiana Commission on Bar Admissions.

The Louisiana Bar Exam is designed to test an applicant’s ability to understand and apply various legal principals presented in different formats. The exam consists of three days of essays. Being the nations only civil law state, Louisiana does not use the MBE.

  • You must take the Louisiana Bar to practice in that state.
  • You can expect to get the results of your Louisiana Bar Exam in September if you took it in July, and April, if you took it in February.
  • A passing score on the Louisiana Bar exam is 70%.
